Questions and Answers: Ray Anderson

Why did you decide to run for this position?

I decided to run for township board because I felt it was where I was best needed in Monon. When I found out how competitive the primary was, I stayed on because I don't believe in quitting when the going gets tough.

What is one thing you want to change in this office?

What I plan to bring to the Monon Township board is transparency and a desire to fortify the institutions and services our residents rely. How I plan to do that is to increase funding for fire runs with the surplus funds we are sitting on, as well as push for our township meetings to be held in the evenings. In the past year, the state has required township meetings to be published online. I plan to make sure that's done.

Why should anyone vote for you?

If we can agree on those principles and ideas, then I ask for your vote this November for a better township for all residents.
